High Quality Carriage Clock

A splendid high quality french carraige antique clock with alarm and repeat button, striking on the hour and half hour, all within a highly romantacised case and having ornate carrying handle. The clock has perfect circular signed enamel dial as well as a subsiduarry alarm setting dial with blued hands all set within a spectacular pierced floral filligree mask.
This high quality case having copper and gilt caratyds on all four corners ( A sign of quality )with carved acanthus leaves top and bellow the main dials on a stepped base with small pad feet. T he movement retains the original silvered platform escapement and the movement fully overhauled cleaned and oiled. There is a fair ammount of information regarding this Parisian maker "Charles Hour" who started manufacturing antique clocks @1852 under the name Diette, The "CH HOUR" mark was not used untill 1900through to 1927. I suspect this clock was made around 1900 to 1910 as there is a DH stamp on the bottom left of the backplate for Diette Hour..
