This Watercolour is a fine example of the work by the English artist Henry Charles Fox.Fox loved to paint the English countryside his paintings capture a rural way of life long since disappeared.Henry Charles Fox was born in London in 1855 he lived in Kingston-upon-Thames but travelled extensively throughout the South of England.In 1880 Fox had his first painting accepted at the Royal Academy, the first of many, Fox exhibited at many Galleries including The Royal Institution of Painters in Watercolour, Royal Society of British Artists,Glasgow Institute of Fine Arts and The Royal Scottish Academy.
Fox died in Horsham, West Sussex in April 1929, he had been a full member of the Royal Society of British Artists since 1889.
