A good quality Victorian freestanding satin birch writing desk by Heal & Son of London. The round cornered and banded top having a moulded edge and inset best quality hand dyed leather writing surface with blind and gold tooling. The front having 1 wide and 2 narrow drawers with applied mouldings and turned pulls with decorative carved and pierced corner brackets. The whole standing on attractive turned and reeded legs with superior Cope & Collinson patent brass and white porcelain casters. Sizes:- Width...54''/ 137cm. Depth...24''/ 61cm.
