A good quality and unusual Edwardian mahogany display cabinet from the renown London makers and retailers Hamptons of Pall Mall. Of breakfront form and having an arched centre with moulded cornice above a single astragal glazed door with conforming sides. The door opens to a cream silk lined interior with 1 small and 2 large shelves. The lower section having 3 mahogany lined drawers with good quality brass rococo handles and the whole stands on square moulded legs with gadrooned carved feet and joined with a supporting under tier. This fine cabinet is in excellent original condition with working lock and key. Dimensions:- Height…73’’/ 186cm. Width…44.5’’/ 113cm. Depth…16’’/ 40cm.
This cabinet bears an ivorine label for Hamptons of Pall Mall, London. Hamptons were known for their fashionable and high quality furniture, available in all styles from historical to modern. ALL TRADE ENQUIRIES WELCOME.
