Great Italian painting from the first half of the 18th century. Oil artwork on canvas depicting a religious subject, the Martyrdom of Saint Lawrence, of good pictorial quality. Altarpiece of exceptional size and strong visual impact, adorned with a modern wooden frame carved and lacquered in faux marble. Painting for antique dealers and collectors of high period sacred art, ideal for inclusion in an important hall or private chapel.
