Very unusual 19th.c. Gothic Revival or Arts & Crafts movement cellarette casket c.1880. In oak with superb paint and inkwork panels with Medieval pattern decoration. Pitched lid with raised top panel, held open on a wooden stay and ratchet, original London lock (not working), stepped moulding at the plinth and fitted with brass barrell castors to the underside. Big enough to take 21 bottles of wine. Excellent colour and patina, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
Dimensions 25½”, depth 15½”, height 21″.
