This a Magnificent Slightly Gothic looking Solid Oak Welsh Dresser
This is a very large late Victorian piece it is constructed in solid Oak including the panelled back boards
The dresser top has a classic styled top with an outward sweeping cornice which has a scalloped frieze and teardrop turnings, the plate shelves have grooves carved into them.
The base of the dresser has a counter top with a moulded edge, the cupboard has a panelled moulding on the door front as do the two drawers two drawers on the right side, these are flanked by carved turnings on each side matching the columns on the dresser top. The dresser stands on turned legs, and they are joined by an heavy X shaped stretcher
The dresser is heavy, it has brass fittings, there are few blemishes to report, only the odd scratch
