A good quality late 19th.Century set of 10 (8 + 2) Chippendale style mahogany dining chairs. The shaped cresting rails having subtle moulded detail and good lattice worked splats. The drop-in serpentine fronted seats sit within moulded frames and the chairs are raised on square moulded edged and inside chamfered front legs and out swept back legs with strengthening “H” shaped stretchers. The matching elbow chairs having open arms and are of slightly larger proportions as expected. The upholstery is old but serviceable and the chairs are in very good condition with no lose joints or breaks. We can re-cover the 10 seats in a neutral beige or cream fabric for £250.
