This is a really charming piece of antique folk art dating from the early 20th century with a most decorative appeal. The hinged box is in superb original order with a great layout to the applied shells that all have a good colour and condition. This is attractively paper lined and bordered inside with a paper lace edging. The box has clearly been very well looked after and hardly used so is in lovely clean condition.
This is a good sized piece with great impact measuring 36 cms by 22 cms and is 12 cms in height.
