Georgian Longcase Clock Sam Holmes Kingswinford
A well proportioned Staffordshire Georgian longcase clock. An oak and mahogany case with a swan-neck hood pediment and 3 brass finials. Corinthium capped fluted hood columns. Corinthium capped trunk side columns and a canted bass panel. Dentil cornice mouldings and shell inlays to the high quality case. An attractive arched painted dial with floral corners, date and seconds. An 8-day duration mechanism striking the hours on a bell. Samuel Holmes of Kingswinford.
