A fine quality Georgian pair case gilt verge pocket watch. An engraved mechanism with pierced back cock and signed 'Chas Mortimer, London'. A convex enamel dial with original hands. A nice feature of dust slide cover to winding hole on inner case. Chas Mortimer of London is recorded in Brittens 'Old Clocks & Watches & Makers' book as making a watch in 1824. Case width 51mm.
