-Welcome to Mersham Manor Antiques-
An elegant George III mahogany linen press.
c.1780.
Constructed mainly from solid mahogany, with outstanding beautifully flame figured solid mahogany panels to each door.
The doors open to reveal five mahogany slides. The slides each open smoothly. The doors have the original brass flush bolt locks to the left door, with working brass lock and key to the right door.
Below is a chest of four drawers-two short and two long. With cock-beading and oval brass neo-classical motif handles. The left top drawer has later added wooden compartmented sections. All drawers are oak lined, of dove-tail construction and open smoothly and easily.
Standing on bracket-feet.
Very easy to move as it can be dismantled into three sections.
The slides can be removed and we could add a hanging rail if required.
Excellent antique condition, expected signs of age. Replaced brass drawer handles, stylistically correct.

Height-201.5cm
Width including cornice-127cm. Width of chest section-123cm.
Depth including cornice-56.5cm. Depth of chest section-54.5cm.
Internal measurement.
Height-102.3cm.
