Georgian C1800 tallboy chest on chest of drawers
Antique Georgian C1800 tallboy chest on chest of drawers with very desirable compact proportions.
Solid and strong... splits into two halves for transport.
No loose joints and the oak lined drawers slide freely (some marks inside as is to be expected).
Rare, with a great colour.... has the wow factor.
It is believed that both the top and bottom halves were made around 1800 and subsequently brought together later in the 19th century. The top half is mahogany and the bottom oak, however the colour is absolutely identical and this can only be determined by close inspection of the grain pattern. This is a really lovely piece of antique furniture with fantastic age and those really compact sought after proportions.
Full of age charm and character.
Overall maximum dimensions: 93cmW x 50cmD x 134cmH.
Historic knocks, marks, cracks, scratches, wear, imperfections, repairs and alterations, as is always the way and to be expected with genuine antique furniture. There are no keys and the locks are consequently untested. Later handles. There are some historic extinct woodworm holes (expected for 18C oak furniture), that we have treated for good measure.
The customer will need to provide a strong able bodied person(s) for our driver to assist with carrying.
Stock No. 7122.
30 day no quibble money back guarantee.
Competitive UK and overseas door to door shipping. Sale up to 30% off marked prices
