George I Style Figured Walnut Side Table or Desk
Circa 1900. George I style figured walnut side table or desk. The shaped-front top with quartered, finely figured burr walnut panels surrounded by inlay and crossbanding. The three frieze drawers with shaped fronts, cock beads, mahogany liners with cast brass drop handles and escutcheons over a shaped knee hole recess. All supported on cabriole legs with carved knees and pad feet. Lovely mellow colour and excellent patina.
