Geo III Mahogany London Long Case Clock

An elegant longcase clock by Daniel Saunders, Knightsbridge, London. He is listed as working there from 1802 to 1844. This antique clock dates from the early part of this period.
The case is in nicely figured mahogany in typical "London" style with an arched hood and long door with moulded edge. The trunk door has its original lock and key.
The good quality 8 day movement strikes the hours on a bell and has a clear silvered dial. It has subsidiary seconds and date dials and the all important strike/silent selector to the arch. The clock has a very heavy brass faced pendulum and brass cased weights.
The case is in good condition but has had a few minor veneer repairs over the years and one or two pieces of brass inlay to the columns are missing but this is not too noticeable.
The movement is in good working order and keeping good time.
The maximum dimensions are:
217cm (85.5") high
52cm (20.5") wide
27cm (10.5") deep
Free local delivery and setup (70mls), national and international delivery arranged at cost.
