Early 19th century 8 day convex dial fusee wall antique clock by (James) Thomas De La Salle, Cannon Street, London.
2 piece mahogany case, backbox secured to the slim mahogany bezel by 4 pegs. The backbox has a locking bottom door and pendulum access side door.
The 12" original painted convex dial and blued steel hands are protected by a concave cast brass bezel. The lock long since replaced with a tongue and catch.
The dial has early method of securing to the mahogany surround, via 2 studs passing through the surround and secured with taper pins at the back of the surround.
The line fusee movement has "A" shaped plates separated by knopped pillars.
James Thomas De La Salle was a member of the clockmakers company 1816-1844
