Fusee Wall Clock


Early 19th century 8 day fusee drop dial wall antique clock by Nicholas from London.
12" convex original white painted dial, marked with roman numerals and the makers name above and below the centre. Movement secured to dial by falseplate. Blued steel hands.
Original convex glazed cast brass bezel.
Mahogany and brass inlaid case with fan ears and visible pendulum aperture. Backbox secured with 4 pegs with locking bottom door and pendulum side access door.
Back of movement is marked Nicholas Daventry.
The Nicholas family worked in Daventry through the 19th century, they had relatives working in Southwark, London in the early 19th century.
