French Walnut And Marble Top Commode
Great quality French late 19th century French walnut and marble top commode in the Charles Dix style.
Fabulous warm walnut colour tone and with the original terracotta tone marble top, shaped to match the moulded shape to the corners.
The chest has four drawers which are all running well and and the key works the locks, also being used as the drawer pull. However, if you would rather, I can have suitable period style handles fitted.
Good decorative piece which will work well as bedroom storage, but also as a server, hall console for example.
Measuring:
37 1/4 inches or 94.5 cm high
14 1/2 inches or 103 cm wide
43 inches or 109 cm feet width
19 1/4 inches or 49 cm deep Based in Uppingham, Rutland…having been in the business for 25 years focusing on mostly French and English decorative antiques and interiors from the 18th to the early 20th century, hopefully a collection you will enjoy browsing and hopefully re home some of my finds!
Viewing here in Uppingham is very welcome in my spacious barn studio but also I have a showroom based within the Uppingham Antiques Centre, which is well worth a visit and have a good lunch in town too!
