French Victorian Marble Top Walnut Bedside Cabinet
A lovely antique walnut bedside cabinet. We date this cabinet to the late 19th century.
The cabinet sits on a plain plinth base with castors and has a lovely fixed marble top of cream and grey.
The front of the cabinet has a single drawer over a cupboard. The cupboard door has a four dummy drawer frontage, the drawers are fitted with wooden knob handles. The cupboard has a single fixed wooden shelf and a catch to keep the door securely closed.
The cabinet has an overall height of 35" (89cm), a width of 16" (41cm) and a depth of 14.5" (37cm).
This attractive cabinet remains in very good solid condition with only very minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. The marble has some marks and some small indentations from past use. There are some old wormholes primarily to the rear that have been treated twice to make sure. There is a small split to the lower edge of the door and some marks internally.
This remains a very stylish & elegant cabinet. It could serve well as either a bedside cabinet or as a side cabinet. It will continue to provide sterling service for many years to come.
