This is a Large French Rustic Pine Game Cupboard, or Meat Safe
The cupboard has large doors with large brass shield shaped escutcheons, wooden knobs and swivel latches on the front. In side the cupboard has a central shelf and quite a few of the original game hanging hooks still remain
The zinc mesh on the doors and the sides of the cupboard have been replaced giving the cupboard good clean look, but the old wood still retains many markings keeping the rustic look.
The base of the cupboard has been rebuilt and it has been caustic stripped which will have killed any if the French Wood Worms
