French Painted Concave Glass Adjustable Bookcase
Very decorative and elegant French painted concave glass front adjustable bookcase or vitrine display cabinet, circa 1900.
Unusual piece with the concave front and also stands on four well carved and shaped cabriole legs.
The original paint has aged well with some areas of wear, the sides and base being finished with painted flowers.
Being fully adjustable, this will work very well as a drinks cabinet, adjustable bookcase or display cabinet.
Measuring:
55 3/4 inches or 141.5 cm high
31 3/4 inches or 81 cm wide
16 inches or 41 cm deep
Shelf depth
9 1/4 inches or 23.5 cm Based in Uppingham, Rutland…having been in the business for 25 years focusing on mostly French and English decorative antiques and interiors from the 18th to the early 20th century, hopefully a collection you will enjoy browsing and hopefully re home some of my finds!
Viewing here in Uppingham is very welcome in my spacious barn studio but also I have a showroom based within the Uppingham Antiques Centre, which is well worth a visit and have a good lunch in town too!
