French Ladies Writing Desk. Bonheur du Jour.
Circa 1880 French inlaid ladies writing desk, of neat proportions raised on four slender cabriole legs, with brass mounts and sabots. The top has a three quarter fretted brass gallery. The fall is decorated with floral marquetry and opens to reveal an original burgundy leather writing surface, three small drawers and a lower slide back compartment large enough for a laptop.
Condition commensurate with age.
This is a lovely usable desk.
