French Empire writing desk in mahogany.XIX Century
Description: French Empire writing desk in mahogany feather with finely chiseled gilded bronze application.
The top has a central leather surrounded by a 24kt gold border and a mahogany feather squaring.
The undertop band is characterized by a drawer that can be pulled out via two gilt bronze knobs.
The four feet in the shape of a strangled column end with a skillfully chiseled gilded bronze base and capital.
A curvilinear cruise, also feathered, connects the feet.
The opposite side is mirrored to the main one.
Condition: Restored by our master craftsmen with traditional method shellac and handmade alcohol.
Provenance: France 19th century.
Measurements: 99x60 H77cm.
