This is an attractive early 19th century mahogany console table with a very smart appearance dating from around 1820. The table has a good rich colour and nice patina and is in excellent condition. The legs have an out swept design with elegant carved paw feet resting on a plinth base and there is a useful, concealed, long drawer to the frieze. The clean fossilised black marble top is in very good condition and measures 114 by 45 cms with the table being 84 cms high overall.

A very handsome piece, most elegant for a hall or alcove.
