French 19th Century Bleached Desk Desk bleached desk bleached furniture %%alt5%% %%alt6%%
Very decorative and well proportioned bleached French 19th century mahogany inlaid double sided partners desk on its original castors with a black leather and gilt Greek key tooling, circa 1900.
The desk can free stand as the rear is matching, but has faux drawer panels, so working drawers to the front only.
The colour works so well with the black leather and ebonised moulded edge too, with the brass just finishing it off beautifully.
Certainly a good size desk for everyday use, good storage space with locks all working and the bleached mahogany gives it a much less formal feel. The inlays now really stand out, whereas with the dark mahogany they were almost invisible.
Stands on these square tapered legs and raised on castors.
Measuring:
30 1/4 inches or 77 cm high
53 1/4 inches or 135 cm wide
27 1/2 inches or 70 cm deep
24 inches or 61 cm in the kneehole height
21 1/4 inches or 54 cm in the kneehole width
