Four views of Naples oil on canvas. XIX Th.C.
Description: Four ancient paintings depicting four views of Naples attributed to the famous Neapolitan painter Girolamo Gianni.
Girolamo Gianni. Naples 1837/Malta 1896.
Neapolitan painter, he began painting in his hometown, dedicating himself to urban landscapes and sea views, but always with characters who liven up the scene, mainly using watercolor and gouache techniques.
He remained in Malta for over 20 years, but did not abandon the subjects of his origins, alternating in his production Maltese views, in particular Valletta and its port, with views of Naples, Capri, and the coast.
Loved by tourists who bring with them travel memories, he often worked, even on commission, on large-format subjects. His painting, pleasant and apparently simple, found numerous followers and imitators even among his contemporary painters.
Measurements: 130x53cm.
Provenance: Naples 19th century.
Document: Certificate of Authenticity.
Assistance: We are at your disposal for further clarifications or photographic details
Shipping: Throughout Italy, Europe and the rest of the world at very low prices with maximum safety and traceability. Shipping will be agreed privately and will not be expensive.
We wish you a good day.
