Finest Quality William IV Mahogany Wine Table

A beautiful and very high quality solid mahogany side table with an excellent colour and in superb original condition with a most attractive dished top made from a single piece of mahogany.
The turned column carved in the solid also and set on really pretty solid mahogany hand carved foliate tripartite feet terminating in scrolls and stylised rose carved collar to base.
The table stands level and solid, is really heavy and robust, and not easily knocked or tipped. Made by very experienced and skilled hands in c. 1835
Mahogany of such quality would have cost a small fortune when this table was made and the sale of this species of indigenous American (Honduran) mahogany has been permanently restricted and its supply increasingly limited since the late 1880s.
The table has come to me from private longstanding ownership and is in really beautiful original condition having always been very well cared for.
A really pretty and practical little table – very strongly recommended.
Maximum dimensions are:
27 inches high, 19 inches diameter.
I describe and photograph my pieces accurately and with the aim that on arrival each will exceed expectations.
I operate a full refund guarantee and am always happy to give free, honest and friendly advice.
