Fine Walnut Fold Over Games Table Side Table
This is an absolute gem of a foldover side table/ games table ready to go in to your lounge. Do ask me for a delivery quote and when the courier can bring it to you.
The fold over games table is made in bleached walnut and dates to around 1900 - 1920. Just look at the quality in this table. The shallow front cabrioles are placed at an angle to the table top. Look at the detail of the re entrant corner. The legs have crisp acanthus carving to the knees and just look at those feet. The claw and ball feet are so detailed. There is even a membrane depicted between the toes. Its brilliant.
The table is a gorgeous colour. This isn't faded. It was made in this bleached colour and it simply glows.
The table, when opened, has its original baize top (small split along the seam - see photo.)
This table came from Yeaton Peverey Hall in Shropshire where it sat in the very grand drawing room but I bet, regardless of the grandeur, your eyes would have been glancing with envious looks at this small table.
The table is in good antique condition. Minor loss of veneer on top edge. See photo.
The table is 33 inches wide at the feet and 18 inches deep at the feet and 29 inches high and the table when opened is 33 inches by 33 inches.
