Impressive Estate Desk Cabinet - Solid Walnut - c1900
An exceptional and interesting large Estate Desk presented in fine walnut.
At 8' tall the piece is wonderfully sized and offers superb build quality by a master cabinet maker. Solid stock, quality joints and thoughtful design combine to produce an aesthetically exciting item of antique furniture.
Twin lower cabinets provide useful office space with shelf and drawer options. Polished solid walnut, fine raised mouldings, contrasting ebonised edge detailing, gilt trimmings and bespoke styling deliver a magnificent piece.
A centre drawer is flanked by outers. Carving and gilt-work are present to the drawer fronts in common with other areas of the cabinet.
The tooled and embossed desk leather adds further interest to the piece.
To the upper section a trio of glazed doors open to reveal a trio of adjustable shelving. The cabinet wears a castellated edge crown moulding with a quartet of finials.
The piece is substantially constructed and in great condition.
Overall a very desirable and rare item of antique furniture in fine order. A classic antique which offers tremendous style & history, as well as being a functional and beautiful place to work or simply to enjoy.
