A superb Gillows of Lancaster mahogany breakfront bookcase, stamped L66990. The wonderful dentil cornice having an arched centre with top quality applied carving to the frieze. The 4 astragal glazed doors open to reveal 3 solid mahogany adjustable shelves to each section with Gillows working locks and key. The base section having a wide centre drawer flanked by 2 smaller drawers each with conforming carved detail and quality cast brass handles. The lower panelled doors with cross banded frames and applied mouldings with the whole raised on a gadrooned base with ogee bracket feet. This stunning bookcase is mahogany lined throughout, is in wonderful original condition and can transport in 6 pieces. Delivery to most of U.K. mainland £125. Dimensions:- Max.Height…86.5’’/ 220cm.
