Fine Point Georgian Needlework Sampler
This is a very charming Fine Point Georgian sampler by Catharine Hawkins, completed in 1816. The needlework is exceptionally fine and very well executed and has the verse " The Lord my pasture shall prepare... " in a central panel surrounded by some really pretty examples of flowers, trees and birds. There are some small depletions at the edge of the fabric but the sampler work itself is complete and in overall very good condition. The framed sampler measures 46cms by 33cms.
