Fine example of the classic Edwardian roll top desk in walnut c.1905.. Lift the tamboured roll to reveal a good sized workspace and fitted interior of pigion holes and 17 small drawers for dockets and stationery with original brass label holder handles. On graduated drawer pedestals with carved handles, writing slides to the top of each and a double height drawer to the base of the right hand pedestal for files. With an extra drawer above the knee hole. Note all the drawers are automatically locked shut when the roll is closed. A good quality desk with solid fielded panels to the sides and rear, polished on all sides. Excellent condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops. Original brass escutcheon stamped ‘The Arvon’. Key supplied.
