This is a beautiful Edwardian Sterling Silver Hair Slide with a pierced entwined top which is elegantly engraved. The Hair Slide was made in Birmingham by high end silversmiths Reynolds & Westwood and dates to the middle of the Edwardian era in 1905. Samuel Reynolds and George Westwood produced top quality pieces of silver, including many dress accessories, from premises in Vyse Street, Birmingham between around 1895 and 1915.

The hair slide is in excellent condition with no dings, dents or splits. It would make a beautiful accessory for a special occasion and add a real touch of elegance whilst also being a practical way of holding your hair in place. Please make sure to view all the photographs.

The hair slide is 10.5cm long from the top of the crest to the tip of the prongs and 5.5cm across at its widest point. It weighs in at 8.7g of solid Sterling Silver.

The hallmarks on the underside of the hair slide are well struck and very clear to read, consisting of the lion passant for Sterling Silver, the anchor assay mark for Birmingham, the date letter "f" for 1905 and the R & W makers' mark for Reynolds & Westwood.
