A handsome Edwardian kneehole desk with its original leather writing surface and working key, offering both charm and practicality. The desk is arranged with three drawers across the top and twin pedestals below, each fitted with a further bank of drawers, all with embossed brass handles and smooth action. The leather inset has developed a rich, mellow character through age and use, complementing the warm tones of the timber. As typical of quality Edwardian antique furniture, the desk separates into three sections, the two pedestals and the top, for ease of transport. Generous knee space and a well‑balanced layout make it a comfortable and functional piece for modern working or a traditional study.
