Impressive Edwardian mahogany breakfront bookcase in excellent condition complete with working key. This bookcase breaks down into 7 sections for easy transportation in and around the home. The top sections have astragal glazed doors which open to fully adjustable mahogany shelves. The lower section has four panelled doors each embellished with wonderful inlays of satinwood, fruitwood and ebony with a wonderful shell motifs in the centre. The double doors in the centre open to an interior fitted with sliding trays with a fixed top shelf and removeable shelf in the centre. On either side of this there are cupboards with fully adjustable shelves. Despite minor imperfections common to antiques, this robust bookcase showcases a rich patina and remarkable graining—a testament to its history, not only enhancing the display of your books but also offering ample storage space.
