Here is an example of a good quality antique late Victorian / early Edwardian 4ft 3” wide mahogany and leather partner’s desk, circa 1890 - 1910.

Here is an example of a good quality antique late Victorian / early Edwardian 4ft 3” wide mahogany and leather partner’s desk, circa 1890 - 1910. The desk boasts an excellent quality green & geometric gold tool leather insert surrounded by a reeded edge. Below, there are 8 large working drawers to the front on side. The bottom left hand drawer is a double drawer and can be used as a filing drawer. The cock-beaded drawers feature the original brass key escutcheons and old replacement brass ring pull handles. The drawers are hand dovetailed and the drawer sides are mahogany lined. All drawers and cupboards feature the original working locks along with keys. There are only drawers to one side of the desk. The sides of the desk features fielded panels. On the back of the desk, there are two large fielded panel cupboards each have sliding removable shelves and are useful for storage of larger items. Each cupboard door has a working lock and key. Below, the pedestals feature a traditional rectangular plinth. The desk is freestanding which means it can be situated in the centre of the room. The desk dismantles into three sections for easy transport.
