This is a very handsome late 19th Century drop leaf table dating from around 1870 with a good rich colour and nice patina. The table has ormolu mounts and satinwood inlaid central panel beautifully decorated with a vase of flowers surrounded by drapery and leaf scrolls. There are some age related marks to the top as you would expect. The frieze drawer has similar decoration and a mask pattern escutcheon. The table is raised on turned tapering fluted legs joined by shaped and turned stretchers.
This is a very useful size measuring 43 ins when open by 20 ins by 29 ins high. With the leaves down this is 29" wide.
