Early 20th Century German House Keepers Dressser %%alt5%% %%alt6%%
Dating to the beginning of the 20th century, this 2 piece German house keepers cupboard is in very good condition and has it's original sprung catches with later turned wooden knobs.
The base of the cupboard is divided in to 2 sections, each have a single shelf which is adjustable up and down.
This is enclosed with 3 moulded panel doors.
The frieze drawers are constructed with hand cut dovetail joints and all run with ease.
The top section is divided in to individual cupboards, each having adjustable shelves with additional racking to the back of the doors.
This is all complimented with a simple moulded cornice.
Commensurate with it's age, there has in the past been a small amount of insect attack to the cupboard. Although this is historical, I have sprayed the whole unit with a 5 star 20 year treatment..
This is a lovely piece of German antique furniture and would compliment the dining room of any home traditional or modern.
The dresser measures
base
55.75inches wide
21.5 inches deep
39.5 inches high
the top is
14.5 inches deep ( 13.5 internal) with an over all height of the whole buffet being 79.5 inches..
The cost to deliver this Buffet to England, Wales and Scotland (Glasgow to Edinburgh) is £75.00.
(please see shipping details below).
Alternatively you are welcome to collect from my showroom at any time.
If you would like any further information or would like to view the item or any other of the furniture, I have a large showroom filled with many interesting pieces of English ,French and Eastern European provincial furniture.
