A charming early 19th century oil on canvas depicting lobster catchers at work.

This painting has definite influences of William Shayers great works. Although a provincial piece it captures in detail the working life of the Georgian period in its own, glorious, naive style.

Presented in country house condition, evident wear to original frame and on old repair to the canvas located in the area of the horses rear leg.

A great decorative item, a little worn but for us thats what gives such charm.
