Early 1950s Large Kigu Compact
A superb unused Kigu "Margaret Flapjack Series" loose powder compact which was crafted in the early 1950s. It is presented in the original box with the original felt pouch, puff and sifter. This splendid vanity is very large. It measures almost 4 inches diameter.
The compact is absolutely delightful. The makers all jeweller's gilt finish ensures that
this compact will never tarnish or need to be cleaned. The mirror gives a good clear reflection. The inner lid bears the Kigu registered trademark. The catches and hinges work perfectly. Measures almost 4 inches diameter. Weighs 158.1 grams.
The presentation box is decorated luxurious pearlized paper stamped with the triangular Kigu trademark. The item code 135 is written on the side of the box. The whole item is in excellent unused condition. Please excuse the reflections on the exterior case, which is highly reflective.
