Splendid late 19th.c. dinner gong c.1880. 13″ diameter hammered or repoussé brass gong hung from a heavily carved Carolean style oak stand, topped with horse and lion’s heads and raised on carved sleigh feet. The gong rings well though there is a small split near the centre which does affect the tone a bit. Otherwise good condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Complete with clapper.
