A classic 19th century upholstered Chesterfield sofa, circa 1870. This high quality sofa is raised on beautiful ring turned golden Oak legs and retains the original brass and porcelain castors. This sofa has been fully re-upholstered retaining the original horse hair inners and sprung seat. having a deep buttoned back and arms with plain upholstered seat, finished with hand stitched piping decoration to the edges. This sofa has been re-holstered in the traditional manner (no staples), using a very high quality durable tweed linen by George Smith,giving this sofa a luxurious but modern look. Superb condition throughout.
