The pierced swan neck pediment above a plain frieze supported by carved floral brackets, central astragal door below opening to reveal fitted shelves, on serpentine base with moulded edge above two drawers and two moulded cupboards enclosing fitted shelves, raised on carved scrolling feet,

Probably Callerton Hall, Ponteland, property of the Fenwick's family, with gift inscription to verso of bookcase "To Rosemary on going into your new home, with love from Mother and Father", on headed paper, Mrs. Fred B. Fenwick, Callerton Hall, Ponteland, Newcastle" and dated 1938.
