A good Chinese Padouk and mother of pearl inlaid hall chair. The fielded panelled back profusely inlaid with butterflies, birds, deer, foliage and trees. The shaped top and side rails with further conforming mother of pearl inlay. The fielded panel seat has inlaid flower heads to the front with a further inlaid frieze below. The square legs with typical Chinese feet and joined by "H" shaped stretchers. In good original condition with minor losses to the mother of pearl (see Photos.).
