We are pleased to offer this novelty ceramic oil lamp made by William Whiteley in France, which is complete with chimney and milk glass shade. The lamp bears a stamped inscription on the base William Whiteley China Manufactured in France and the word Depose.

The Owl in glazed in a cafe au lait colour and has round glass eyes. It is standing on a naturalistic base. It has a brass burner marked Kosmos Brennen, which is German, has a long wick in situ and appears to be working correctly. The reservoir for the oil is contained within the top of the owl. The shade carrier is original and also brass. The chimney is a Kosmos 8 Line Extra Tall.

Height to top of chimney: 19 inches - 48.25cm

Height of owl: 7 ibches - 17.75cm

Diameter of shade: 8 inches - 10.25cm

Materials: Chine, Brass and Glass.

Condition: Very Good. There is no damage to the owl, the shade or the chimney. The lamp is in working order as an oil lamp.
