Carlton House Desk
An extremely elegant Carlton House desk showing the cabinetmaker's craft to the full. The desk is mahogany and of excellent pedigree, having the name 'Wilson, 68 Great Queen Street, London' stamped on the top of the centre drawer.
The desk stands on square tapering legs with brass cups and castors (1 castor replaced). It has 13 drawers and 2 cupboard and the green leather writing surface appears to be original, as is the brass gallery around the top. The drawers are hardwood lined and it comes with 3 keys.
