Stunning example of a Late Victorian Elm Smokers/Captains Bow Chair in superb original condition.
A large back top support leading to broad arms supported by eight beautifully turned spindles.
The Seat is nice and Deep in a saddle style, so very pleasing to the eye. The legs are stout but again beautifully turned and supported by a double H frame. There are a few marks but nothing more than to be expected from a Chair of this age, all joints nice and solid.
The back of the seat has the Craftsman’s and Makers initials stamped, WB & TH.
