A fine example of a Chinese Export-Trade Camphor-wood trunk, beautiful solid timbers from single planks with brass corners and straps together with the rarely engraved brass work. 460mm high, 930mm wide and 590mm deep. Made in Canton, China, circa 1830. W J Gravener Antiques is a family owned business, started in 1963 by William who was joined by son, Mark in 1981 and continues today with the same ethos of dealing in fine quality English and Continental furniture, mirrors and decorative objects, from the 18th & 19th centuries.
