Campaign Writing Slope
A 19thC. mahogany brass bound writing/reading slope. The interior with pen tray, stamp holder and 2 ink wells, one retaining its original ink pot. The side drawer is released by the interior brass bolt and an adjustable brass ratchet supports the slope at an angle for reading. Unusually this box retains its original book rest which sits beneath the replaced tooled leather writing slopes when not in use. With original carrying handles and key. Working lock stamped "E.Turner". In good condition with a few ink stains which are visible in the photos. Packing and shipping to most of U.K. £22.00
