C1890 French Enamel Chatelaine Compact or Rouge Pot
Repousse gilt brass case,original beveled mirror held in place by twisted gilt wire. No applicator. The hinge works well.
Fine hand painted enamel forget-me-nots, surrounded by silver gilt garland decoration on the lid.
Normal age related wear, no damage.
Ca 3.7 cm in diameter - perfect size for a locket/pendant.

Comes in an associated 1950s blue leather/leatherette box - as per photos. Listed items are usually available to view at the Red House Antiques Centre in York.
